In this image-conscious business, a music video adds another dimension to your portfolio. Whether you want to explore the artistry of the medium, or if you just want people to know what you look like - a music video is a necessary part of a good press kit. Every artist should have one.
Desire Media uses digital non-linear video editing equipment (and industrial strength software such as Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro), and records in miniDV format. The miniDV format is nothing short of a revolution in the world of video editing. When compared to betaSP (the current industry standard), Paul Lehrman (of Mix Magazine) had this to say:
"...[miniDV] quality can be fantastic; I'm told that a producer at WGBH....found such little visible difference between DV and BetaSP that he recommended their producers adopt it."
We know you'll be satisfied with the quality of the video.
Our videos are categorized by the number of "locations". For instance, a basic "1-location" shot could be a live gig video. A "2-location"' shot would involve lots of edits, and is typical of what you'd see on MTV. Often, artists are amazed at how good they look when they see themselves. Feel free to view the samples and fill out the contact form if you have any questions.
Desire Media now offers DVD authoring! Present your music videos, behind-the-scenes video, and slide show in a fully interactive DVD. Encoded in 16-bit digital audio and video, our DVDs are the ultimate multimedia experience.
Artists we produce will receive:
- a VHS tape of their video (optional)
- their miniDV source masters (optional)
- a CD-R or DVD of the finished product.
- If desired, we can encode and compress the video for web posting (RealPlayer, Quicktime, Windows Media). We can even create an 'enhanced CD' with both music and a video! Make your act a multimedia experience.
