If you're an artist writing original material, you know how difficult it is to get someone to say something about your music. Local 'zine? They get hundred of CDs a week. Indie label? Same deal. College radio? Pretty difficult. Commercial radio? Don't even try.

Press clippings - even though they're difficult to obtain, they're absolutely essential. They show that your band is worthy of interest, because someone ELSE took the time to give your music a listen and write a review. If you want to appear as professional as possible, get someone to say something about you.
