Desire Media is one of the few mid-level studios in the DC-metro area to offer ANALOG tracking to its clients. Ahh, the sweet sound of analog. Tighter bass, sweeter top end, a warmer and more natural sound.
In addition to analog, we're also proud to feature digital recording via MOTU's Digital Performer. We also use the Waves plugin suite. With unparalleled ease in editing, MIDI sequencing and mixdown, DP3 was featured as Apple Computer's "Ultimate Recording System".
You get the best of both worlds; sweet analog warmth and tightness, and digital editing and sequencing. The result is a sound and workflow defying studios that charge 10x what we do.
Desire Media is also proud to offer "by-the-project" pricing. Music is not a by-the-hour affair! Other studios will attempt to restrain your creativity and charge you by the hour. Why record at a studio that puts a time limit on your music? Come record in a relaxed environment that nurtures your creativity - if it takes a little longer to be right, no problem.* We want your projects to turn out well; it reflects on us, too.
